Take Action
And Get Involved
Here's how you can join

If you live in Cape Town, make the journey up to the King's Blockhouse on the slopes of Table Mountain. You can walk or run there from the Newlands Forest Station, or ride up via Rhodes Memorial or from Vredehoek.
There's an active Cape Town Blocktober WhatsApp group that you can use to arrange joint walks, runs or rides. We encourage participants to ride, walk or run with someone else to enable conversation and to enhance safety.
If you do not live in Cape Town, you can design your own solidarity route that ideally involves some form of climb and that takes about an hour to complete. If you're not able to walk or ride, create an appropriate physical challenge.
We know of participants in many cities who are going to embark on Blocktober solidarity journeys. Some have already committed to doing the journey every day during October. Others have committed to once or twice a week, but even if you do it only once – that is enough.

A new development is the series of solidarity walks with the Saartjie Baartman team on the last Sunday of every month, and on all the Sundays of October. Information on the WhatsApp group.
